Help make a difference by putting your Faith in Action
Faith in Action Suggestion for the Month of August:

faith-in-action_918

We are called to pray, AND we are called to put our faith into action. We are called to follow Jesus which means we need to love and serve our neighbors in the name of Christ. It’s also our job to stand up to injustice and respect the dignity of every human being.

This month we suggest you take a look through the Advocacy Guide for Episcopalians. Consider the many ideas and suggestions offered and choose an action you can take this month to make a difference.

Help serve the world in the name of Christ...
Outreach Project for August

laundry-love-logo_911

It's time to fill up the red REACH bags, again!
This time we're REACHING for Love - Laundry Love

This important organization works to build relationships by bringing money, laundry soap, snacks and conversation into local laundromats for guests who can't afford the expense of doing their own laundry. Help yourself to a REACH bag and do what you can to help those in need. Donations and prayers are also welcome. Thank you!

Do your part to help spread the Good News...
E-vangelism Suggestion:

back-to-school-blessing-image_174

We'll be offering a community event this month - and we'd love to have your help getting the word out about it!

Back to School Blessings on Sunday, August 21st, both in Church at the 10:15am service AND at Camino Real Park (Dean Drive and Varsity Street - behind Lowes) 2-4pm. This is a community event. We want to support families, children, teachers and school staff as they begin a new school year.

And while we're offering Back to School Blessings, we'll also be having a church picnic!

Please help us spread the word by inviting your friends, putting up a flier, sharing it on a community bulletin board and/or sharing our post on social media. We'd like to spread the word and reach as many people as possible. Thanks for your help!

In case you'd like to hear it again...

Last Week's Sermon:

In case you didn't see it yet...

Make coming to church a priority...

transfiguration_311

Here's what you can Look Forward to Next Sunday:

This Sunday, August 7th at 10:15am

Join us in-person or online

This Sunday we'll hear the story of the Transfiguration. Come learn about how we are called to walk in the way of the cross and share in the glorious and great power of the resurrected Christ. We are each to shine with his light and share his amazing love with all the world. Come to church and get inspired!

The service will be live-streamed online. Whether you come in person, or join us online, we look forward to being with you!
*Because some among us are at additional risk, we ask everyone to wear a mask in the sanctuary. We appreciate your cooperation. You are a living example of what LOVE looks like! On the street side of the sanctuary, some pews are roped off so that you can choose to sit where there's some extra distance if you prefer it. No reservations are needed, and all are welcome here.

Lots of great things are happening!

Finally, I welcome you to reach out to share your spiritual journey. Next week, we’ll have new ideas and resources for you. And week after week we’ll get stronger, go deeper and offer ourselves to be transformed more and more into the people God is calling us to be.

Our main focus is on studying and discussing the lectionary for the week’s worship service. But an important part of our meetings is fellowship and talking about life, current events, our joys and challenges, our families and anything else that comes to mind. We also offer prayers for all those in our lives who are in a time of need or hardship. The Men’s Group is also an active service group in the parish and community, most known for the St. Patrick’s Day Dinner Party and preparing meals for other events.

LIVESTREAM & In-Person Sunday Service

Sunday, December 3, 10:15 AM - 11:15 AM

After over 130 years in Ventura, St. Paul’s has continued to keep the faith by bringing glory to God and benefit to all people. We are a friendly and inviting community. This is a place to worship, celebrate, explore, question and grow. We celebrate our unity in Christ while honoring our differences, always putting the work of love before uniformity of opinion. All are welcome to find a spiritual home here. The fact that we have different opinions makes our discussions all the more interesting. We strive to love our neighbors as ourselves and respect the dignity of every person.

On Sundays you will find traditional worship anchored in an ancient faith, dynamic preaching connecting that faith with our lives today and a call to serve as the Light of Christ to a world in need.

We reserve a section of our sanctuary for social distancing. Reservations are encouraged for this section and you are asked to arrive by 10am to be seated in this section. You can call or email us to make a reservation. [email protected] 805 643-5033

For those who meet the CDC guidelines to forego social distancing, open seating is available. No reservation is needed for open seating. Please arrive by 10am to get seated and ready before the service begins at 10:15am and is livestreamed online.

All are welcome!
