Help make a difference by putting your Faith in Action
Faith in Action Suggestion for the Month of March

faith-in-action_918

We are called to pray, AND we are called to put our faith into action. We are called to follow Jesus which means we need to love and serve our neighbors in the name of Christ. It’s also our job to stand up to injustice and respect the dignity of every human being.

This month we suggest exploring the Episcopal Public Policy Network's information about the Episcopal Church Immigration and Refugee Resolutions. You can find them by clicking the link below.

This Month's Outreach Project - March

OUTREACH PROJECT – Reach for Basic Needs

img-7137_224

This month, St. Paul's is collecting socks for adults and eyeglasses, too. Bring in your old, unwanted glasses and/or new reading glasses you can purchase at most stores. We will offer them to those in need and help bring the dignity of sight and clean socks to our neighbors. REACH bags are available for your convenience. Thank you for your support!

Year of Prayer to End Racism

prayer-image_72

The Diocese of West Virginia has released an inspiring and motivating series of prayers to be used throughout the year as we work and pray for an end to racism. I encourage you to use these prayers in your personal prayer life, and I encourage us to make the commitment to become more and more, day by day the people God is calling us to be.

MARCH-- Pray for racial harmony

“Creator of all people, in our amazing diversity of size, shape, color, and giftedness:

guide us, by your grace, to recognize the beauty and fitness of all whom you have made

in your own image. Give us gifts of humility and generosity of spirit to recognize in all

people, the face of our Savior, Jesus, and to practice his commandment to “love one

another,” toward the end of bringing harmony and peace among persons of all colors,

origins, and abilities, for the sake of your Kingdom.” Amen.

We can all be Digital Disciples, sharing the Good News on social media.

Here’s how you can help our church grow and improve our ability to reach others:

    • If you’re using the Facebook mobile app, “check in” to St. Paul’s when you come to church on Sunday. It’s easy to do: when you’re making a post, select the “Check In” option. St. Paul’s will pop up as a location. If you feel called to, take a photo of something in the church and add it to your post.
    • If you’re on Facebook, please find the St. Paul’s Ventura page and “Like” us. Your Digital Discipleship team (also known as the “communications team”) is providing a range of posts for you to enjoy. We share information about all the wonderful programs, events, activities and services available at St. Paul’s.

When you “Like” our page, it means that our church feed will be visible to your friends. And if you like a post, share a post or comment on a post, more people will “hear” the Good News. Look for more information and tips in upcoming weeks.

Love social media? Join our Digital Disciple team! Contact the Church Office to be put in touch with a team member.

Lots of great things are happening!
