Help make a difference by putting your Faith in Action
Faith in Action Suggestion for the Month of December:

faith-in-action_918

We are called to pray, AND we are called to put our faith into action. We are called to follow Jesus which means we need to love and serve our neighbors in the name of Christ. It’s also our job to stand up to injustice and respect the dignity of every human being.

Ask Congress to support immigrant Farm Workers - The agriculture industry relies heavily on immigrant workers, many of whom are undocumented. These hard-working individuals can be found in every corner of the country, harvesting crops, working the fields, and doing intense work up and down the agricultural supply chain. These workers lack vital protections, despite performing essential services, and Congressional action is needed to support the workers as well as a vital sector of the U.S. economy. This Month's Outreach Projects

Want to help our warm the hearts and bodies of our neighbors in need?

COATS FOR ALL and REACH for Socks

We are collecting new or gently used coats and jackets of all sizes now through the end of the year! The drive is sponsored by the Downtown Chapter of the Rotary Club. The donation box is located in the church lobby

Socks are also in high demand at this time of year for the men and women served by the Family to Family ministry. Drop of your sock donations in the basket on the REACH table. We’ll distribute them throughout the winter season. (Please no dress socks or children’s sizes.)

Here's what you can Look Forward to Next Sunday:

This Sunday, December 18th at 10:15am

Join us in-person or online
On this final Sunday in Advent the gospel tells us that, after he learned that Mary was with child, Joseph was unwilling to expose her to public disgrace and, instead, planned to dismiss her quietly. Then he had a dream in which an angel of the Lord said, "...do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, for the child conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will bear a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins." Be with us as we light the first, second, third and fourth candles on our Advent wreath. Each has a special meaning. The first candle is HOPE. The second candle is PEACE. The third candle is JOY. The fourth and final candle is LOVE. Let’s come together as we worship and wait, holding on to the HOPE that Christ has instilled in us, enjoying the PEACE that is beyond understanding, delighting in the JOY that comes as we lift our thanks and praise, and celebrating the incredible gift of LOVE offered to us through Jesus. Join us as we prepare the way of the Lord, lifting our prayers and singing our praises. Online, we offer Spiritual Communion. In-person, we offer Eucharist, the body of Christ, the bread of heaven. Come to church and get inspired!

The service will be live-streamed online. Whether you come in person, or join us online, we look forward to being with you!
*Masks are no longer required on the street side of the sanctuary, but we still encourage them. We appreciate your cooperation. You are a living example of what LOVE looks like! On the chapel side of the sanctuary, some pews are roped off so that you can choose to sit where there's some extra distance if you prefer it. No reservations are needed, and all are welcome here.

Lots of great things are happening!

LIVESTREAM & In-Person Sunday Service

Sunday, December 3, 10:15 AM - 11:15 AM

After over 130 years in Ventura, St. Paul’s has continued to keep the faith by bringing glory to God and benefit to all people. We are a friendly and inviting community. This is a place to worship, celebrate, explore, question and grow. We celebrate our unity in Christ while honoring our differences, always putting the work of love before uniformity of opinion. All are welcome to find a spiritual home here. The fact that we have different opinions makes our discussions all the more interesting. We strive to love our neighbors as ourselves and respect the dignity of every person.

On Sundays you will find traditional worship anchored in an ancient faith, dynamic preaching connecting that faith with our lives today and a call to serve as the Light of Christ to a world in need.

We reserve a section of our sanctuary for social distancing. Reservations are encouraged for this section and you are asked to arrive by 10am to be seated in this section. You can call or email us to make a reservation. [email protected] 805 643-5033

For those who meet the CDC guidelines to forego social distancing, open seating is available. No reservation is needed for open seating. Please arrive by 10am to get seated and ready before the service begins at 10:15am and is livestreamed online.

All are welcome!
