Holy Week and Easter at St. Paul's Ventura

Before we celebrate Easter, the Church observes Holy Week - a solemn time to remember and reflect on the final week of Jesus' earthly life. The services offered give us the opportunity to participate as we learn and remember what Jesus has done for us. By recalling and participating in the sadness of his passion (suffering), we prepare our hearts to rejoice more fully and vibrantly on Easter Sunday as we celebrate together his amazing resurrection. Everyone is welcome to participate. Children and families are invited to all our services. Sunday School is available during Sunday services. We hope that the following information will inspire you to invite your friends to join in too.
Palm Sunday
April 2, 2023
10am - Children and Families gather around the fountain at St. Paul's to learn about Palm Sunday and help bless the water and the palms that will be used in the service. All are welcome.
We'll hear the scripture that describes Jesus triumphal entry into Jerusalem to the joyful and hopeful shouts of praise from the people then walk along Loma Vista Road, making our way to the church. Once inside, we'll hear amazingly beautiful music, inspiring prayers, and uplifting sermon and hear about the final days of Jesus' life on earth.
