Feast of St. Francis this Sunday, 10/4
Join us this Sunday for our livestreamed service from St. Paul's Sanctuary for the Feast of St. Francis with beautiful music from our organist and cantor, and a reflective sermon from Rev. Liz Williams. Join us afterwards for our "Virtual Coffee Hour" on Zoom and say hi -- all are welcome, especially pets and animal friends on this feast day! Click here to join on Sundays around 11:15am.
If you need a bulletin, you can click here to download one! It will also be available on our Facebook page and in your newsletter.
We livestream our service every Sunday through Facebook Live on our Facebook page. You *do not* have to be on Facebook to watch these services! Just click on the link on our St. Paul's blog post or from our E-news.
Blessing of the Animals this Sunday from 5-6pm
This Sunday at 5pm we will be set up and ready to welcome you to our walk-up Blessing of the Animals. This will not be a service, just a blessing. For the service, please watch on Sunday at 10:15am. If your pet(s) don't travel well, stop by for a "To-Go Cup" of holy water that you can use at home. We'll even include a sheet with instructions on how to say the prayer to bless your animals.
Safety is VERY important to us. If you are concerned and not ready to be out in public, we certainly understand! We don't want anyone to do anything you're not comfortable with. If you'd like a "To-Go Cup" to bless your pets (and/or your family) please contact the church office. We can help make these arrangements.
If you decide to join us, please review the protocols listed below and be sure to follow all posted protocols at the event. For the sake of LOVE we must protect ourselves and our neighbors. Masks must be worn at all times everywhere on campus.
Park your car, be sure everyone puts on their mask, and carefully make your way to the pavilion (lunch area) in the parking lot. Be careful to maintain at least 6' distance from others. Do not let your pets wander. There is now concern that COVID can be transferred through our pets, so, much as we'd like to pet them, no touching animals other than your own. You will meet Rev. Susan and Rev. Liz at the lunch tables where we'll greet you at a safe distance and offer a blessing for you and for your pets.
We are thrilled to be able to see everyone who chooses to come and look forward to meeting your pets (if you choose to bring them with you) for this special event in celebration of the life of St. Francis. Please review the protocols below:
- Do not come if you have a cough, fever, or are otherwise ill, for your sake and others
- Appropriately restrain any animal with you
- Wear a mask that covers your mouth and nose at all times on campus
- Maintain at least 6 feet of distance between you (or your family) and others at all times
- Do not pet or touch other people's animals (or stuffed animals, etc.) at any point
