Help make a difference by putting your Faith in Action
Faith in Action Suggestion for the Month of August:
We are called to pray, AND we are called to put our faith into action. We are called to follow Jesus which means we need to love and serve our neighbors in the name of Christ. It’s also our job to stand up to injustice and respect the dignity of every human being.
This month we suggest you take a look through the Advocacy Guide for Episcopalians. Consider the many ideas and suggestions offered and choose an action you can take this month to make a difference.

Outreach Project for August
It's time to fill up the red REACH bags, again!
This time we're REACHING for Love - Laundry Love
This important organization works to build relationships by bringing money, laundry soap, snacks and conversation into local laundromats for guests who can't afford the expense of doing their own laundry. Help yourself to a REACH bag and do what you can to help those in need. Donations and prayers are also welcome. Thank you!
Evangelism: Doing our part to help spread the Good News...
We'll be offering a community event this month - and we'd love to have your help getting the word out about it!Back to School Blessings on Sunday, August 21st, both in Church at the 10:15am service AND at Camino Real Park (Dean Drive and Varsity Street - behind Lowes) 2-4pm. This is a community event. We want to support families, children, teachers and school staff as they begin a new school year.
And while we're offering Back to School Blessings, we'll also be having a church picnic!
Please help us spread the word by inviting your friends, putting up a flier, sharing it on a community bulletin board and/or sharing our post on social media. We'd like to spread the word and reach as many people as possible. Thanks for your help!
Back to School Blessings - Flier
In case you missed it, or would like to hear it again...
In case you didn't see it yet...
Make coming to church a priority...
Here's what you can Look Forward to Next Sunday:
This Sunday, August 21st at 10:15am
This week we hear that Jesus healed a woman who'd been disabled for eighteen years long years. Though she rejoiced in the healing, some others questioned Jesus for he had healed her on the sabbath. Jesus breaks the rules but brings healing and love. Come learn that the ways of God are not the ways of the world. Come hear inspiring scripture, beautiful music and an uplifting message of hope and love. Come get inspired!
Lots of great things are happening!

God bless you this week and always,
Rev. Susan+
