Ghana Pilgrimage

Four neophytes from St. Paul's, Marilyn Hass, Stephanie Ivans, Fr. Kahler, and Jennie Whaley, departed Saint Paul's parking lot at 3:00 AM yesterday bound for LAX for a 6:30 AM flight to New York where they will arrivedat 12:30 PM.  There they joined Canon Doug and Lynn Edwards|, his brothers Gary and Dennis and Dennis’ wife Molly and boarded a flight for Ghana.  They arrived in Accra, the capital this morning at 7:00 AM local time (11:00 PM last night California time).  They should now be in Kumasi after a six-hour trip in a van over a rough dirt road.  Kumasi is the second largest city in Ghana.  Hopefully thay have been able to get some sleep over these past 34 hours of travel.

 PRAYER FOR ST. PAUL’S (The Very Reverend Canon Jerome E. Kahler will retire December 31st next after 22 years as rector of Saint Paul's)
Come Holy Spirit, guide our process as we discern the work that St. Paul’s is being called to do now and in the future. Keep us focused and mindful that God is in charge and that we are called to remain faithful servants of His work. Help us to listen to each other and turn to You for guidance and resolution. Be with us in our times of joy and celebration. Strengthen us for this time of transition. May our hearts and minds be open to the person You are calling to be our next Rector. We ask all this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
