Music Video: Inspirations on Cheshire, Hymn 581
St. Paul's Music Minster Dr. Felix Eisenhauer provides the latest in an ongoing series of original music videos he's creating to inspire and give us peace in the time of COVID-19.
Felix's latest piano improvisation is inspired by Hymn 581 in the 1982 Episcopal Hymnal. The tune is Cheshire (melody) and bass from the The Whole Book of Psalmes, 1592. The modern lyrics were penned by J. Clifford Evers (1916-1997).
"Love can exclude no race or creed
if honored be God's Name;
our common life embraces all
whose Father is the same."
