Help make a difference by putting your Faith in Action
Faith in Action Suggestion for the Month of September:
We are called to pray, AND we are called to put our faith into action. We are called to follow Jesus which means we need to love and serve our neighbors in the name of Christ. It’s also our job to stand up to injustice and respect the dignity of every human being.
This month we suggest you consider joining with other Episcopalians who are urging Congress to act on Solitary Confinement. Join our call to legislators to establish a commission to study solitary confinement and provide humane recommendations for its reduction and reformation. You can find more information at https://www.episcopalchurch.org/ministries/office-government-relations/ and click on “Take Action.”

Here's what you can Look Forward to Next Sunday:
This Sunday, September 11th at 10:15am
This week is HOMECOMING Sunday, a celebration of our 133rd anniversary! We’ve been reaching out to invite everyone who has ever had a connection to St. Paul's church or parish day school to join us for this special service. We look forward to seeing teachers, students, parents, staff, friends, neighbors, and members. We also welcome back programs and people that took time off this summer.
During the sermon we'll look back on the past 133 years of mission and ministry for St. Paul's Ventura. We'll honor the lives lost on 9/11, and hear the parable of the lost sheep. Those who attend in-person are invited to stay for some fun at fellowship at our All Star Hot Dog and Chili Bar after the service in Kahler Hall.
Come learn how very much Jesus cares for you. He will always find you when you're lost and welcome you back no matter how far you’ve strayed or how long you’ve been gone. Come hear inspiring scripture, beautiful music and an uplifting message of hope and love. Come to church and get inspired!
Lots of great things are happening!
